5 Days till March

The rise of the double entendre does not mean that we are evolving as a society. If our minds become consumed with the sayings of our peers and we stray off course and refuse to focus on business, then we become as small as the minds of those who cannot see the bigger picture. What is our focus? What is our intention? When our hearts are anchored in the truth and conviction of the path that leads to righteousness, we can focus on manifesting wholeness for the greater good. Humanity cannot control, as a whole, the impression that a point of contact imparts upon another individual because that individual is comprised of their own experiences, thoughts, expressions, and expectations. With that in mind, we must have discernment in how we translate what others “speak” into our lives. We must understand that a conversation or an emotion is a product of more than just ourselves. Each person living on this planet (no matter of power or influence) is a being created in the image of God and as such is responsible to respect each individual regardless of ethnicity, gender, age, or religion. Per the golden rule, we are to treat others the way we would like to be treated… so. Let’s think about the children. Who is considering what is best for the future of education? What allocations are being filtered into the betterment of the next generation? There are schools in poor areas of this country that have not had functioning classrooms in months. Who is structuring the municipal runnings? Why is there so much confusion and red tape when it comes to securing the basic necessities for survival in the land of the free and the home of the brave? Obviously, to whom much is given, much is required. It’s time to rise to the occasion and think of something more important that comparing the sizes of each others cannons and focus on what those weapons are actually trying to protect. Consider gun control… if arming teachers is an answer to school shootings, then you have to worry about whether or not students will try to overthrow the teachers for control of the weapon. How does filling establishments with the weapons you are trying to avoid solve anything other than add more variables to an already unstable sociological predicament? Criticism and analysis can be provided for pretty much anything. Hopefully, maybe, some of the ideas spurred from conflict can create resolve and momentum for a future that seems more bright than the bleakness that war and rumors of war creates…
